- Assassination
On Wednesday, September 10, 2025 There was an act of pure evil that shook the world. A man named Charlie Kirk was at a university, was engaging in an open dialog with students and visitors and was murdered by a man on a building.
Before I go much further, I want to express my sincere condolences to Mrs. Kirk, their children and family. I can not comprehend what you are feeling.
Rather than try to tell you about this amazing man, you can read for yourself: http://tpusa.com and http://www.fightforcharlie.com.
I want to address what I have seen on social media in the days following. There has been an outpouring of support for Charlie’s mission and many of the people he has touched have posted testimonies as to how he changed their lives. What saddens me and worries me is the large number of people celebrating this evil. I can understand people not agreeing with his message and beliefs; but for someone to get so wound up as to assassinate a man for speaking his mind and beliefs? Then others cheering such a truly evil act? SERIOUSLY?? I even saw one post where a person suggested not stopping with Charlie, kill the rest of his family. If anyone has doubts that there is pure evil out in our world, that’s more than proof enough.
I had the honor of leading the congregation at the church I attend in prayers on Sunday, September 14th. In that prayer I acknowledged that evil has been defeated, God has won. I just wished that final defeat would be today. It is hard to understand that pure evil is running rampant in the world.
So now what? I urge everyone to fight evil, stand firm in faith, love one another and our country. Charlie Kirk was a great example of this. Continue the mission.
Father God we pray for the family and friends of Charlie Kirk. Protect them, console them in their grief. May they feel your love always. Empower those who Charlie brought back to you that they may do likewise to others, and may evil’s final defeat come very soon. This I pray in Jesus’ Holy Name.
For those who have read other posts on my blog, this is a bit of a departure, but I felt so strongly that these words needed to be shared.
